Entities

"Of the older effects that exist in this world;

There is not much I can say about these creeping things. They are not welcome in the West. I have learned, over time, not to speak of them."

Unknown and unknowable, Entities have been called by many names over time; Disgraces, Demons, Bohaya, Anwoakanba, Ununagaro, Bolewe, Jetebo, and more. Not bound to our rules or limitations, these beings are capable of possession but cannot achieve any kind of form on their own. They do not haunt, but partake in Following and possessive behavior. When Following or Possessing a person, they can be called on by their subject and sometimes seen as a physical twin to their subject. Some believe that a disgrace, when powerful enough, becomes an entity.

Entities that attach to people are usually called ‘it’ or referred to as the same gender as the person they follow. This is because people feel so close to their entities they feel like they are part of who they are.
